Building a Dragon's Den

This week in Forest School

We discovered a trail to the centre of our woodland.

 

 

 

 

There was a clearing which had some rainbow wool hanging from the branches. The children wondered where it had come from. 

 

 We read 'Tell me a dragon' by Jackie Morris. We thought about what our imaginary dragons would look like. The blue ice dragon that breathed snow was the most popular dragon in the book. 

 

It was wonderful finding out about the children's imagined dragons. They also told us where they would travel to with them.

We discovered the mud.

 

 

We made dragon bracelets and flag poles. We practised our knots. We also built a 'dragon's den', our new Forest School camp area.

 

 

We built dams.

 

 

We helped each other out of the mud.

 

 

We made dragon's nests.

We came together as a group and discussed what we had discovered or made at Forest School.
