Year 1 and 2 - The Great Fire of London at Forest School

The Great Fire of London

We had a fantastic Forest School this week. Our topic this term is The Great Fire of London. The children read an information book on the historical event and we discussed how the fire spread so easily whilst building our own fire. We then had pictures of London houses from that period and we burnt them on the fire. We discussed fire safety and what materials burn easily. We then had to put the fire out by passing the water from person to person in a long chain.

The hot chocolate was a super treat!
