Growing in the garden and exploring autumnal natural resources and linking them to maths. Early Years.

F1 (Willow Class)

The children wanted to help plant new colourful Viola flowers. They all talked about the different parts of the flowering plant and especially looked at the roots. They helped to dig and fill the garden tray with compost and they talked about the worms, the soil and roots. Everyone knew that plants need rain and sunshine to grow and flourish.

The children also explored Autumnal natural resources and linked them to maths learning.
