EYFS - Getting Ready For the Big Bird Watch 2024

 

We’ve enjoyed the cold clear days this week - exploring ice and making bird feeders to help our birds due to the challenges that the cold weather brings. Beforehand, we listened to the sound of a tweeting bird. We hung the feeders throughout the forest and to link nicely to the practical task, I (Mrs. Jennings) tell the class: “It’s saying, I am hungry. Please feed me”. One child responds “Mrs Jennings, I didn’t know you could talk bird” :D

We were lucky enough to witness a friendly robin pecking the seeds.
