Building a Camp and feeding the birds. KS1 Forest School Adventure

We had fun on our recent Forest School adventure. The children really enjoyed themselves using their newfound knot-tying skills to create their very own camp with a tarp. It was like a mini outdoor engineering project! They not only tied the knots but also got to plan where to set up their little campsite.

We then delved into the world of nature through a captivating book. The book described a predator without revealing its identity, and the children had fun guessing which sleepy creature it was. The big teeth gave it away. It was a bear! It was a fun way to blend learning and outdoor exploration.

We have enjoyed watching the squirrels eat the food we put out for the birds. They are really clever animals. They can get into any feeder we put out. We have been feeding up the area in the hope that we see some birds on our RSPB Bird Watch this week.
