πŸ‚ Leaf Man Adventures at Forest School! 🍁

This week at Newbold School, our children had a wonderful time exploring the great outdoors during our Leaf Man-themed Forest School session!

In the beautiful autumn sunshine, we set off to collect a colourful array of leaves, twigs, conkers, and other natural treasures. The children used their collections to create their very own Leaf Man and Leaf Animals, bringing the story from our core text “Leaf Man” by Lois Ehlert to life.

It was lovely to see so much creativity and imagination as the children designed their leaf creatures—some even made leaf birds, foxes, and fish! 🌿🦊🐟

Back in the classroom, we continued our Leaf Man adventures during literacy lessons. The children labelled the different parts of their Leaf Man creations, practising their writing skills and learning new vocabulary along the way.

This activity beautifully combined outdoor learning, creativity, and literacy—helping our pupils appreciate the beauty of nature while developing important language skills.

We’re so proud of how engaged and enthusiastic everyone was. Well done, Leaf Explorers! 🍁
