🍂🌦 Year 1 & 2 Explore Weather and Seasons! 🌬🌞

This week in Year 1 and 2, we became little weather scientists! 🌧️💨 We checked the wind direction, measured rainfall, and looked for signs that the seasons are changing. The children loved observing the sky ☁️🌤 and talking about how the weather was different each day. It was exciting to see the world around us changing!

We also explored the colours of leaves 🍁🍃. We learnt that leaves are green because of a pigment called chlorophyll 🌱. As autumn arrives, the green fades and other colours like red, orange, and yellow appear! 🍂 The children had so much fun mashing the leaves they found and looking closely at the beautiful colours that came out of them 🎨👀.

Science is everywhere around us, and Year 1 and 2 are discovering it one leaf and raindrop at a time! 🌈📝
