Years 1-2 (Beech Class)
We have been busy bees in Beech class. The children really enjoyed their Forest School session this week. They pretended to be sparrows searching for food for their chicks. The sparrows had to locate different coloured worms (wool) and bring them back to the nest. The children found that the camouflaged worms were much harder to find. When they had found them all they returned to the woods again. This time they were confronted by sparrowhawks (the teachers). This made hunting for food so much harder. Forest School complimented science so well this week, as we have been discussing habitats and the adaptation of the animals within them.
