Keep Britain Tidy Campaign 2023 KS2

KS2 News

KS2 Forest School this week was a productive one. Following on from our discussion of Stewardship in our last forest school, the children were excellent citizens and undertook a massive litter pick skirting around the outside of the deer field, and then back across it, covering a huge amount of ground.

Who knew they would be so excited over litter picking that there would even be arguments about who got to pick up which pieces!

They collected a huge amount of litter between them and were fairly exhausted by the time they returned to school.

They had a short discussion about the types of rubbish collected and how long it may have taken to decompose if they had not collected it.

For fun, having been spending time in the “Deer Field” they learned some facts about red deer and the other species of deer found in the UK.

Well done KS2.
