Outdoor English Lessons in Year 5 & 6 π·
This week, Year 5 and 6 took their English lesson outdoors, and what a fantastic experience it was! π
The focus was on instructions and explanations, and what better way to practice than by planting tulip bulbs? π· Students revised the key features of instructional writing while enjoying a hands-on activity. Then, they conducted practical research about the bulbs, which will help them create detailed and informative explanation texts. π
But that wasn’t all! The lesson naturally included geography, history, vocabulary building, and an exploration of the wonderful biodiversity in our school grounds πΏπ.
The children loved combining learning and nature, showing curiosity, teamwork, and creativity every step of the way. Outdoor learning like this makes English lessons exciting, memorable, and full of discoveries! ππ
