🌳🍃 This week in Forest School, the children took their Science learning outdoors by identifying evergreen coniferous trees and deciduous trees. We also discussed photosynthesis, and the children were able to remember that trees make their own food using sunlight ☀️🌱. The children were so excited when we identified a Beech tree and could explain that it was deciduous because of its broad, flat leaves 🍂😊. We even discovered a very old Oak tree on our school grounds — it was so huge that we couldn’t put our arms all the way around it, even as a class! 🌳🙌 It was wonderful to see the children using their learning so confidently in the natural environment.
