🌪️🍃 A Week of Exploration and Discovery! 🧪🌿

This week, the children became young scientists 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬 as they explored the topics of weather and climate ☀️🌧️. We discussed the difference between daily weather conditions and long-term climate patterns before carrying out an exciting tornado in a jar experiment 🌪️. The children were fascinated as they watched the swirling vortex form inside the jar and enjoyed learning about how tornadoes develop in nature. There were lots of excited faces 😲 and thoughtful questions throughout the activity!

Our outdoor learning continued in Forest School 🌳🍂, where the children embraced their creativity by making their own woodland recipes 🥣. Using rainwater 💧, sticks 🪵, lavender 💜, coriander 🌱 and basil 🌿, they carefully mixed and combined natural ingredients to create unique concoctions. The children enjoyed experimenting with different textures, colours and scents while working together and sharing ideas 🤝.

The woodland recipes smelled amazing 👃✨, and the children were incredibly proud of their creations 😊. Both activities encouraged curiosity 🔍, exploration 🗺️ and hands-on learning 🙌, making for a memorable week filled with discovery, creativity and fun! 🎉🌟
